Good evening Tiana, David and Helen,

I wanted to share these photos with you, since they are my and Ibou's most memorable (and precious) pictures of our time in Madagascar. I also wanted to take the opportunity to tell you all that the tour exceeded any and all expectations I had.

As a teacher, I look for tours to be both educational and fun, as well as steeped in culture. I've been listening to the students' feedback this past week, and I'm amazed by how much they learned. As you know, I lived in Madagascar as a child, so going back was really a thrill for me. In fact, in the weeks leading up to the trip, I wondered if it was even possible that it would be as magnificent and magical as I remembered so from my childhood, so it was very exciting to discover that it's just as mystical and enchanting as my earliest memories of life! :-) Being able to share this with my students, friends and colleagues --with my son at my side-- was easily one of the highlights of my life.

I know the three of you worked very hard to fit in everything I requested on our agenda; thank you very much. I also wanted to thank you for the spices, shirts and caps you gave us all --in addition to the write-up of what we saw during our time there. Tiana, that write up has really come in handy this past week --what a special touch.
